Jennifer Lawrence has proven that she is not only a hero on the big screen.
The Hunger Games star came to the aid of a girl that collapsed in front of her apartment complex.
According to MTV News, Lawrence was walking her dog outside of her apartment complex in Los Angeles when she noticed a young woman passed out on the lawn. She rushed to help the woman as someone else called the ambulance.
A photographer who was on the scene said, “Jennifer ran outside her apartment when she heard a girl scream and immediately called 911. When the EMT arrived, she stayed to make sure everything was OK. She was really scared for the girl."
The Santa Monica Police Department told TMZ, “The young lady who collapsed was a juvenile and was part of a group that was together.” They also noted that alcohol may have been involved in the incident.
Lawrence stayed by the woman’s side until the paramedics arrived.
Though the woman was passed out, paramedics did not deem the situation as serious. They treated the woman on the scene and she was then cleared to leave.
When Lawrence is not busy coming to the aid of people when she is off screen, she plays a hero on camera. She is currently getting ready to reprise her role as the heroic Katniss Everdeen in Catching Fire, the sequel to this year’s huge hit, The Hunger Games. Before that, however, Lawrence will appear in the horror movie, The House at the End of the Street, which will be out in September.
