Sugarland lead singer Jennifer Nettles announced Monday that she is expecting her first child.
The baby is expected to arrive in November, which coincides with the singer’s first wedding anniversary with her entrepreneur husband Justin Miller. The couple married in Tennessee at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains after two years of dating.
“They are thrilled beyond belief,” Sugarland manager Gail Gellman said.
However, the child’s gender has not been revealed. This has led to fans speculating via the title of Sugarland songs such as "Every Girl Like Me" and "Baby Girl."
Nettles, 37, recently began work as a judge on the ABC series, Duets, in which she and other artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Robin Thicke sing duets and give advice to aspiring singers. Each judge mentors two singers. Nettles is currently mentoring John Glosson and J Rome.
The winner receives a contract with Hollywood Records.
"Thanks for all the love and well wishes from fans, friends and radio friends and industry friends!" Nettles tweeted of the good wishes she has received. "Y'all are the best and so supportive! Love!"
Sugarland’s other half, Kristian Bush, also tweeted congratulations with:
"Congratulations @JenniferNettles on becoming a mom," he wrote. "I love you."
