Kristen Stewart tops Forbes highest paid actresses

Twilight series and Snow White and the Huntsman actress, Kristen Stewart has topped Forbes list of the highest paid actresses.

Forbes reports that not only is she the highest paid actress on the list, she is also the youngest at the age of 22.

Last year, Stewart ranked in at number 5, tying with Mona Lisa Smile actress, Julia Roberts. However, this year her total earnings of $34.5 million from May 2011-May 2012 placed her at number one. Forbes says that women are still making less than men in film. In fact, the ten actresses making up the list, total $200 million compared to $361 million that the top ten men are making.

According to the report, upfront pay, profit participation, residuals, endorsements and advertising work are all elements that are determined when compiling the list.

Cameron Diaz took home $34 million from both Bad Teacher and What To Expect When You’re Expecting, placing her in a close second. Sandra Bullock sits in third place, raking in $25 million from May 2011-May 2012.

Stewart will reprise her role as Bella Cullen in the final chapter of The Twilight Series: Breaking Dawn-Part 2 which hits theaters soon. Next up, Stewart will star in Cali, where she will play Mya, a young girl who makes a bad drug deal and must flee town.
