Lance Bass developing reality series ‘Celebrity Sellouts’ for Lifetime

Former *NSYNC singer Lance Bass is jumping into the television business. Bass has created a new Lifetime series titled Celebrity Sellouts that the network is close to ordering to go straight to series.

According to Deadline, Celebrity Sellouts will be produced by Bass; DiGa, a production banner headed by Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley; and Leftfield Pictures, the producer of Pawn Stars. The new reality series is the second DiGa project in production at Lifetime. The company has also developed My Life Is A Lifetime Movie.

Bass created the series, which was also titled Celebrity Yard Sales at one point. The Hollywood Reporter notes that it is based on Bass’ Famous Yard Sale charitable initiative and is set to showcase A-listers who are ready to sell off priceless memorabilia to charity.

THR spoke to Gateley and DiSanto about upcoming projects in January and they did bring up Bass’ project. “You get a little bit of [MTV’s] Cribs, a little bit of the Barbara Walters aspect where the celebrity is walking down memory lane, and a little bit of Pawn Stars,” Gately said at the time. Since Leftfield has experience with Pawn Stars, they were approached to run the project.

The list of participating celebrities and who will host has not been revealed yet. THR notes that Bass is interested in hosting the program.
