Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester wins the court case against her mom, Constance Meester, after filing the lawsuit July of last year.
In the lawsuit, Leighton claimed that her mom used the money that she sent to her little brother, Lex, who has “severe medical issues” and recently underwent brain surgery.
Instead of supporting her son, Constance used it for personal expenses, such as Botox, plastic surgery and hair extensions.
TMZ exclusively revealed that Leighton sent $7,500 a month to help cover her brother’s medical expenses since her mother refused to work.
Her mom told the judge that she spent the cash because Leighton broke her "oral contract" to take care of her. According to the lawsuit, Constance required Leighton to pay her $10,000 a month for life, which Leighton claims is a “total lie.” Leighton also revealed that if she didn’t keep her promise, her mom threatened to file a $3 million lawsuit against her.
A source told Daily Mail UK in December that Leighton is currently seeking custody of her brother. “Leighton is disgusted by her mother and is determined to get her brother Lex out of that situation.…She wants Lex to leave their mom's California home and come to live with her in New York.”
Leighton didn’t ask Constance for money in the lawsuit; she just wants her to disappear.
Leighton Meester won’t need the money anyway since her next big pay check will come from ticket sales for the June 15 release of That’s My Boy, where she plays Andy Samberg’s fiancée.
