Kate Walsh appeared on Bethenny Frankel’s new show Bethenny on Tuesday, where she confirmed rumors that she will be leaving her show Private Practice.
Walsh said she would be leaving the show next month, CNN reports.
"This is my last season for Private Practice, yes," she said. "It's been an incredible journey and an amazing ride. It's been a long time being Addison and I feel incredibly grateful to [show creator] Shonda Rhimes and all the fans. "
Before she makes her exit, however, she said "I'm really excited about the last season.”
Private Practice is a spin-off of the popular Rhimes-created show Grey’s Anatomy. Walsh’s character, Addison, started off on Grey’s and has made her mark on television.
Rumors of Walsh’s potential departure started in May when Rhimes announced that only 13 episodes were ordered for the sixth season of the show.
“There's a lot of budgetary issues on that show,” Rhimes even told TV Guide. “We need to make sure the show is viable and that we can produce it.”
The interview will air on Wednesday, June 13.
