Report: Lindsay Lohan involved in car crash, hospitalized

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been involved in a serious car accident and has been hospitalized.

TMZ first reported the accident, which happened Friday afternoon. The site reports that she has been taken to an emergency room at a Los Angeles hospital.

Lohan was driving her black Porsche on the Pacific Coast Highway when it slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler and was reportedly totaled. Pictures posted on TMZ show that the car’s front bumper was completely torn off and the passenger window was shattered.

An ambulance was called to the scene, although Lohan was not taken to the hospital in the ambulance. Eyewitnesses say her assistant was in the car with her and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. Lohan herself was described as OK, but doctors will run tests.

TMZ later reported that Lohan claims the 18-wheeler cut her off and the accident wasn’t her fault.

Lohan is currently filming Liz & Dick, a Lifetime movie in which she stars as Elizabeth Taylor.
