Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans might be following the same path as her predecessor, Teen Mom’s Amber Portwood, who is currently serving out a 5-year jail sentence.
Evans and her on-again, off-again fiancé Gary Head were arrested on drug possession charges after getting into a physical dispute at her home in North Carolina over the weekend.
Dustin Sullivan, Evans’ attorney, told E! News that his client placed an emergency call with 911 on Sunday night to report domestic violence charges. He denies that any drugs found were hers.
When cops got to her home, they found less than one-half ounce of marijuana, which she was charged for, as well as drug paraphernalia and possession of another controlled substance. She was also charged with simply assault.
Meanwhile, Head was charged with all of the same charges in addition to assault on a female.
Both spent time in jail on Sunday evening, with Evans getting released after posting a $500 bond and Head on a $1500 bond.
“Jenelle is the one who called the police and was assaulted," Sullivan said. "The drugs that were found were not found on Jenelle."
He added that he intends to “defend Jenelle from these allegations."
A source close to the situation also says that Head will likely get "dishonorably discharged from the Marines” after he “"beat the s--t out of her and strangled her.”
Both Evans and Head have addressed the situation on Twitter, and have made it pretty clear they are broken up.
"Yes I left him becuz he was caught cheating. He did something to me that was physical and tramatizing. I'm just so grated jace wasn't there," she said about her son.
As for Head, he wrote "[Jenelle is] no longer my fiancé or girl. She can be with who she pleases…I can honestly careless [sic] who she's with. And I put that on my friends grave…no. I'm def not marrying her. @PBandJenelley_1 has ruined my life."
"Went to the hospital yesterday for my injuries thank God im fine. New chapter opened in my life and im pretty excited :)” added Evans.
