While Alec Baldwin is busy enjoying married life after his weekend wedding to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, in a new interview with the 30 Rock star, he admits to having a volatile temper, a fact that a few New York photographers would certainly agree with.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, which appears in the magazine’s August issue, Baldwin acknowledges his volatile past. When asked where his anger originates from, he explained, “You know, Hollywood does draw some very strange characters, and then the power of Hollywood and what they can do with it becomes like a blood sport to them.”
He then revealed detailed and violent fantasies he has had in the past. Baldwin admits that he wanted to beat ex-wife Kim Basinger’s lawyer “with a baseball bat” and how he wanted to kill TMZ producer Harvey Levin in 2007, when Levin leaked angry voicemails he left for then-11-year-old daughter Ireland.
“I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes,” he said.
Baldwin also revealed that he would still like to run for office, but is having difficulty deciding what to run on. “I think I do want to go into politics. I really, really do...And I don’t know if I will,” he said.
“If I want to run, run for what?” he added. “You have to stop and ask a lot of whys. Run for the glory? Run to complete some missing piece of myself? I can keep doing what I’m doing for a living now and be perfectly happy.”
