'Awkward' Recap: 7/19

The episode starts off with Jenna and Lacey at church because Lacey is trying to get redemption.

Lissa finds Jenna and tells her to come to the church retreat. Lissa tells the priest that Jenna stole her boyfriend and they have been praying for her, causing everyone to judge her.

Jenna tells Tamara about her church camp and Tamara tells her to just stay with her for the weekend because she is stuck at home. Kyle, the boy who Jenna thought was stalking her earlier overhears them and chimes.

Sadie tells Lissa she needs an intervention because she won’t forgive him. Lissa tells her that Jenna is repenting and they may start to be friends and Sadie is outraged.

Jenna goes to talk to Val about her parent’s separation. Jenna tells Val that she thinks the break up is her fault and she doesn’t know who she is and she is going on a church retreat. Val tells her not to go to this church camp because soon she will start judging people like they judge her.

Jake points out a girl who was checking Matty out but he doesn’t notice. Jake tells Matty to stop talking about the girl he used to be with. When Jenna comes over to them and she finds out he is talking about her.

While on the bus, Jenna sees Sadie sitting there and she is completely freaked out and wants to leave.

Jenna calls Tamara and tells her that Sadie is there and she wants to leave. Tamara tells Jenna that Kyle has moved on to stalking her.

Inside the bunks, Sadie tells Jenna to stay away from Lissa. Outside Jenna is trying to figure out how to leave when a boy, Clark, walks up to her and tells her not to let Sadie ruin her retreat.

Lacey calls Jenna and tells her she can come get her when Val interupts her at the bar and tells her she knows about her separation and encourages her to eat alone.

At church camp, there is a costume dance and Jenna is the serpent. Sadie is trying ruin Jenna’s good time but Lissa sticks up for her and Clark dances with her.

Tamara is video chatting with Kyle trying to get him to stop stalking her but he doesn’t know what she is talking to.

It is time for the share circle at camp. Lissa admits she touched Jake and Sadie pressures Jenna and everyone tells her just to confess and she will be forgiven. Jenna screams that she loves Satan. Lissa tells Jenna she is sorry for everything that happened.

At home, Lacey is excited that Val has taught her to be alone.

Back home, Lacey tells Jenna that she has learned to be alone and she is proud and Jenna is proud of who she is and what she has learned.

At the end she gets a comment on her blog of someone who says they are there for her. Tamara confronts Kyle who shows her his shirts aren’t about her.

Lissa decides that Sadie and her can be friends again. Jenna goes to talk to Matty and he apologizes and they decide to call a truce. At the end, Matty is checking out a girl at school and Jenna freaks out a little.

Next week, Jenna’s jealous side shows a bit when Matty finds a new girl to occupy his time.
