Ben Stiller and Jonah Hill are reportedly set to team up again in a new comedy for Fox titled Aloha.
The Hollywood Reporter first reported that Hill, Stiller and director Shawn Levy are negotiating with the studio to work on the comedy, set in Hawaii. The three will also produce, with Levy as director and Hill and Stiller in the lead roles.
The film’s script was penned by Nicholas Stoller, who previously worked with Hill on Get Him To The Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, reports Indiewire.
Insiders told THR that the trio will have to iron out their schedule and approve Stoller’s script before signing on to the project.
Stiller and Hill co-star in the upcoming Fox film The Watch, which hits theaters next Friday. Hill and Stiller first worked together on Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and then both voiced characters in Megamind.
Levy is also a Stiller favorite. He is a producer on The Watch and previously directed both Night at the Museum films. The Real Steel director is currently working on The Internship with Vince Vaughn (who is also in The Watch) and Owen Wilson.
Stiller is currently working on his The Secret Life of Walter Mitty remake, which hits theaters in December 2013.
Hill has a role in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained and is working with Martin Scorsese on The Wolf of Wall Street.
