According to Britney Spears, mimicking one of her one-time hits is not the best form of flattery.
People reports that a man in Greensboro, N.C who was dressed as a woman in cat glasses, boots, his hair in a bun, and a bejeweled jacket belted out Brit’s hit “(You Drive Me) Crazy.” Co-judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato buried their faces in their hands as L.A Reid patted her lovingly on the back.
Brit did what she has previously been accused of doing: she stormed off stage. Lovato and Reid followed the southern pop-star off stage while the sharp tongued Cowell stayed behind. He told the participant, "I don't think she quite understood your tribute."
The man replied, “I had to fight real hard to get here.” Later, when Spears returned to the judges table, she stated, “I really respect the tribute…It was really nice.”
This is not the first time the 30-year old has been accused of storming off stage. When Spears first took to her job on X Factor reports of her storming off came quick. The“Hit Me Baby One More Time” singer explained that she loves her job and even took to Twitter at the time to put the rumors to rest writing, ““#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!”
