When your father is The Boss, it’s hard to say no to dancing on stage and in front of thousands of people, especially when members of the E Street Band are playing “Dancing in the Dark” behind you. Jessica Springsteen got a nice surprise on Thursday when her famous father, Bruce Springsteen, pulled her on stage during his Paris show to dance with him.
According to E! News, 10,000 fans at the Palais Omnisports Bercy arena saw Springsteen dancing with Jessica, a student at Duke University, who had to be pulled onstage by her father. Springsteen even picked her up at one point, showing her off to the crowd.
Jessica appeared to have as much fun as her father, though, laughing and smiling the entire time.
Jessica is the second of Springsteen’s three children with wife and E Street Band member Patti Scialfa. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 20-year-old is an Olympic-caliber equestrian rider and is nationally ranked. She is on the reserves for Team USA for the Summer Olympics in London. At Duke, she is majoring in psychology.

“Dancing in the Dark” is one of the many hits on Springsteen’s 1985 Born in the U.S.A. album. In classic video for the song, Springsteen also pulls a member of the audience on stage to dance with, who turns out to be a young Courteney Cox.
Springsteen is currently touring to support his latest album, Wrecking Ball.
