'Burn Notice' recap: 'Last Rites'

The episode starts off with Fiona being transferred to a different cell after a couple inmates tried to get her killed. Even with her transfer her safety is unknown so she befriends a woman who is known to get things. Fiona asks for the name of who is trying to get her killed which will not come cheap.

Meanwhile, Agent Pearce seeks Michael’s help when she receives a message from Anson in regards to the man who murdered her fiancé. Pearce is extremely sensitive and passionate for revenge but Michael halts her because he does not want her to make a hasty decision. The man who murdered her fiancé is actually under protection from the CIA because he has Intel that they need. The plan is to follow Ahmed (the man who killed Pearce’s fiancé) to think he is dying and spill the secrets to his son. The only way that is going to happen is to follow him on a cruise and begin to work.

Jesse mixes some type of poison to put in his drink and Pearce very sleek drops it in Ahmed’s drink. The poison he used mimics the symptoms of some kind of viral infection. Michael will pose as a doctor and try to figure out the symptoms while manipulating them. In order for this to work Jesse has poisoned himself as well so it can seems as an infectious disease. Michael is able to convince the nurses that he is familiar with the disease and can help. He asks Ahmed who he has been contact within the last forty eight hours. He says his son, so Michael sends Maddie, Sam, and Nate as a medical staff so his sons house in the Bahamas. Pearce and Michael convince Ahmed he will die very soon and he should start getting his things in order. He immediately calls his sons and tells him to get the files and names where they will be, which is exactly what they wanted to hear.

Sam and Nate follow the man’s son and wait to steal the Intel. They get a surprise of their own when they realize the son is trying to sell the information. Pearce takes matters into her own hands and tell Ahmed the virus is Russian made. He calls his son and tell him this as he is making a deal with the Russians. The son reacts and takes them out, letting Sam and Nate get away with the valuable Intel.

We go back to Fiona and she is able to get the information she needed. That same day she is finally able to see Michael. He sees her and starts crying and tells her she looks beautiful. They stat talking about the past and how they first met. Both their eyes fill with tears and you see just how much they truly love each other. On his way out, he is told by an inmate that he dropped something.

That something was a piece of paper. Fiona wrote on it saying someone is trying to get her killed and the name of the person who they are working with is behind the note. It is now in Michael’s hand to find out what he can do in order to save Fiona and get her out of jail and back to his arms.
