Actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. is under investigation by New Orleans police for allegedly shoving a female bartender.
According to E! News, the Jerry McGuire actor was in a French Quarter bar when fans began realizing who Gooding Jr. was. Excited, fans requested autographs and photos and Gooding became obviously frustrated. A female bartender asked Gooding Jr. to settle down, and he turned and allegedly shoved her. E! adds that the actor shoved her again on the way out, as reported by the New Orleans Police Department.
He is now wanted for municipal battery. Remi Braden, director of Public Affairs for the New Orleans Police Department explained the incident with Celebuzz, “He was apparently getting rowdy when people were trying to take photos, and he got aggravated. The bartender tried to calm him down, at which time he allegedly pushed her, and before he left the bar he pushed her again.”
Braden added, “When he left, it was either the bartender or her boss immediately called the police. We are currently looking for him.”
According to the report, Gooding Jr. is currently in New Orleans filming The Butler co-starring Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey and Jane Fonda.
