'Finding Nemo' sequel brings rumors of a fourth 'Toy Story'

By Meghan Giannotta,

The announcement of the long awaited Finding Nemo sequel has Pixar animation fans buzzing about other films joining in on the sequels as well. The Internet has been buzzing with fans talking about the rumored report that Toy Story will be filming its fourth movie.

These rumors have risen due to a year old BBC interview with Tom Hanks, reports Zap2it. As the voice of Woody, Hanks was asked if there would be a fourth Toy Story film for his granddaughter to watch. According to the interview, Hanks replied, “I think there will be, yeah. I think they’re working on it now.”

While the Finding Nemo buzz left fans to think deeper into Hank’s comment in this old interview, MSNBC reports that Hank may have just been referring to the filming of video shorts that play before some movies. The Toy Story short titled Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation aired before Cars 2 in theaters. The short titled Small Fry aired before The Muppets.

While the news of a Finding Nemo sequel has been confirmed, the buzz about Toy Story doesn’t seem to be reality. The third film in the trilogy ended too perfectly for Pixar to re-open the story. With Andy on his way to college, and his toys no longer being in his possession, if created, the fourth Toy Story would be far different than the others.
