Fox won the ratings battle Monday night, beating ABC’s The Bachelorette special and NBC’s Fear Factor. Overall, it was a very slow night, with Fox needing less than 7 million viewers to claim victory.
Fox won the night with an average of just 6.3 million viewers and a 2.6 18-49 rating. The night started with Hell’s Kitchen, which scored 6.2 million viewers and a 2.6 18-49 rating, a decent 4 percent jump from last week. MasterChef also pulled in a 2.6 18-49 rating, but did draw a few more viewers than Hell’s Kitchen with 6.3 million.
ABC came in second with 5.65 million viewers and a 1.8 18-49 rating. The first hour of The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All drew 6.9 million viewers, while the second had 7.3 million. However, it averaged just a 2.2 18-49 rating, which was down 12 percent from last week. The Glass House drew just 2.8 million viewers and tied with last week’s season low 1.0 18-49 rating.
CBS’ night of regular Monday repeats averaged 4.9 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 rating.
NBC averaged 3.8 million viewers and a 1.4 18-49 rating. Fear Factor had 4.2 million viewers and a 1.5 18-49 rating, which was up slightly over last week. American Ninja Warrior followed with 4.45 million viewers and a 1.7 18-49 rating. A repeat of Grimm (2.6 million) ended the night.
The CW’s numbers were boosted by a The Dark Knight Rises special that drew 1 million viewers. The network averaged 700,000 viewers and a 0.3 18-49 rating.
