Korean pop group Wonder Girls continue their efforts in branching out to the American market with their latest English single, “Like Money,” which was released on Monday. The song's futuristic music video also premiered alongside the track.

“Like Money featuring @Akon MV is out!!!!” the girls wrote on their Twitter account Monday morning.

“Like Money” features a more electronic dance sound than their American breakout, “Nobody.” The track was penned by songwriter Crystal "Cry$tyle" Nicole, who is responsible for Rihanna's No. 1 hit, “Only Girl (In The World).” In the music video, the Wonder Girls – Yubin, Yenny, Sun, Sohee, and Lim – are introduced as bionic cyborg women in a futuristic outer space setting. Though mechanic, the girls perform their dance moves in the video on-point and in-sync with each other. Akon raps in a chair before the song's dubstep-like breakdown. Mindful of a currency-crazed society, the girls sing of a man they hope can love them just as much as he loves money and other material possessions.

The Wonder Girls have been eyeing an American crossover since touring the states with Jonas Brothers in 2009. Earlier that year, the girls released their first U.S. single, “Nobody,” which became the first song by a South Korean act to chart on Billboard's all-genre encompassing Hot 100 singles at No. 76. “Like Money” previews Wonder Girls' upcoming debut album in America.
