Kristen Wiig happy with new relationship and leaving 'SNL'

By Kevin Lewis,

Actress and comedienne Kristen Wiig says that she is in a good place, even after leaving SNL, and credits her relationship with boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti as the reason for her contentment.

Wiig, who was a popular staple on the sketch comedy show for seven seasons, says that her recent departure has not affected her happiness. “I will say that I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and I feel very lucky right now,” citing “where I am now, who he is, those are the two big ones” as the reasons for her fulfillment.

According to CelebBuzz, Moretti, the 32-year-old drummer for rock band the Strokes, and Wiig stepped out as a couple when they attended the wedding of Bridesmaids co-star Ellie Kemper.

Wiig, 38, plans to work on several films after SNL, including The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Ben Stiller, The Comedian with Robert De Niro, and Imogene with Darren Criss, according to the NY Daily News.

Wiig says that what she is most looking forward to is her romance with Moretti, “When you’re on your deathbed, you probably aren’t counting the movies you’ve made,” she said. “You’re looking at the people who are around you and thinking about the people in your life, and you can’t lose how important that is because that’s ultimately where happiness comes from.”
