Lea Michele is both 'nervous and excited' to work with Kate Hudson on 'Glee,' she talks her on-screen breakup with Cory Monteith

Lea Michele opened up about the future of her character Rachel Berry on Glee at Comic-Con over the weekend, and she talked about the incorporation of Kate Hudson’s new character.

Hudson will be Berry’s dance coach when she gets to college, and Michele says she’s both “excited and nervous” to work with the Fool’s Gold star.

Michele gives a little teaser about the dynamic between their two characters, saying "I've heard that [Rachel] has a challenging dynamic with Kate Hudson, so we'll see about that!"

E! Online reports that Hudson will both mentor Berry and rival her.

As for Berry’s on-screen relationship with her real-life boyfriend Cory Monteith, who plays Finn, Michele talked about their break-up.

"I definitely think they saw us together a lot, so I think they want to sort of see what it's like for them to sort of be apart for a little while now," she said. "I think that's the dynamic, that's the dance where they pull them apart and being them back together. I love working with Cory so I'm sad we won't get to work together too much, but they'll always be involved with one another whether or not they are dating."

While it’s always been her dream to move to New York City, Michele says that Berry starts off Season 4 “alone.” She said, “She's in a new environment, but I think that's going to get her to a really great place."

Entertainment Weekly reports that during the Glee panel at Comic-Con, the cast revealed that the Season 3 regulars will definitely return “in some capacity” but don’t expect to see them in each and every episode.
