Lea Michele talks about Emmy snub

By Melissa Goldstein,

Although Glee only received three Emmy nominations last week for its third season, Lea Michele is taking it in stride.

According to Eonline, Michele said, "I'm very proud of our last season. I think it was one of our best seasons ever."

Michele also acknowledged the stiffer competition this year and went on to say "I think there are so many incredible shows out right now," and that "I am a huge fan of Girls and the fact that Lena [Dunham] got nominated and the show got nominated is amazing. There's some really great stuff out there right now, so I feel like this is just the natural progression of things."

Glee received nominations for Outstanding Makeup For A Single-Camera Series, Outstanding Cinematography For A Single-camera Series, and Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series; however, they were left out of the running for some of the bigger categories they have won in previous years.

Filming begins Wednesday for season 4 and Glee fans have a lot to look forward to. Michele will be performing a Barbara Streisand hit in the first episode and there will be another tribute to Britney Spears in the second. Kate Hudson will also make a guest appearance.
