In another development in the Kristen Stewart-Rupert Sanders cheating scandal, new photos have surfaced that appear to show that the Twilight star’s relationship with her Snow White and the Huntsman director was not just a “momentary indiscretion.”
The story broke early this week, when Us Weekly magazine published photos of the two together on July 17. Stewart then issued an apology to her boyfriend, Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, saying, “I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected.”
She added, “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry.”
But new photos might debunk her statement that this was just a short fling. RadarOnline found photos of Sanders and Stewart dining at a restaurant in Berlin on May 15, just a day after Snow White’s London premiere. Castmember Charlize Theron was also with the two.
Sanders did pose with his wife, actress Liberty Ross, during the London premiere, but she was missing at the German premiere.
This isn’t putting to bed any reports that the affair did not last very long. “She wasn't having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn't have happened,” a source told People. “She never meant to hurt anyone. She's a good person who just made a bad choice.”
Gossip Cop is also reporting that the relationship was not sexual. The site’s source says that Stewart may have passionately kissed Sanders, but it never went beyond that. It was “a mistake” and she “feels awful,” says the source.
