Playmate Holly Madison to adopt

By Robert Kirchgassner ,

Former Playmate Holly Madison has announced her intention to adopt a child.

Madison, 32, was one of the trio of Playmates on the E! reality series, The Girls Next Door. She said that she wanted to start her own family since she left the show. She and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner were in a relationship for seven years, but she left in 2008 after he announced that he did not wish to marry again.

"I've started the adoption process," she said. "I really want to be a mommy."

Madison added that her career, which includes her own reality show, Holly’s World, and appearing at various events in Las Vegas, does not give her time to deliver a child herself.

“I love performing in the theater, and you can’t really do that when you’re pregnant,” she said.

She has begun the adoption process by contacting the adoption mentoring service Hold My Hand, which is run by Bill Horn and Scout Masterson, who appear on the reality show, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.
