Rupert Sanders releases his own statement in Kristen Stewart cheating scandal: 'I am utterly distraught'

Now that Kristen Stewart has issued her own apology to her boyfriend Robert Pattinson for cheating on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, Sanders is doing the same for his wife and kids.

The British director, 41, who is married to British Vogue model Liberty Ross, has released the following statement to People:

I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.

It didn’t seem like Ross was willing to work things out when she took to her Twitter account before deactivating it yesterday, writing "sometimes bad things fall apart so better things can fall together,” a famous quote by Marilyn Monroe.

As we reported, Stewart released her own statement on the cheating scandal, saying "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry.”
