X Factor judge Britney Spears is ready to appeal her court-order conservatorship which her father Jamie shares with her fiancé, Jason Trawick.
According to Daily Mail, the “Toxic” singer spoke to Judge Reva Goetz about ending her conservatorship. An insider reveals, “'Britney said she doesn't understand why it's still in place and expressed her belief that she has got to be the only person under a conservatorship that has managed to land a $15 million work contract [on 'The X Factor'].”
Spears reportedly doesn’t understand why her personal affairs are still under control, which she reportedly doesn’t mind having her career in the hands of Jason.
A source informs, “Britney pointed out to the judge that she will be on live television weekly this fall once X Factor premiers on Fox in September and the tremendous progress she has made since the conservatorship was put in place.”
The conservatorship has been in place since 2008 after her very public break-down, so why won’t the judge fulfill her request after so many years since the incident?
TMZ notes that Spears suffers from a medical condition which prohibits her from making sound decisions on a regular basis.
The papers that were filed in the court seeking the revocation of the conservatorship contained “highly sensitive matter” involving the singer’s medical issue.
According to TMZ, Brit suffers from a personality disorder which affects her decision making process. A source notes that she is doing “very well” but that the conservatorship is simply a safety net.
