‘Don’t Trust The B---- In Apt. 23’ to host mini ‘Dawson’s Creek’ reunion with Busy Philipps

ABC’s Don’t Trust The B---- In Apartment 23 is going to play host to a mini-Dawson’s Creek reunion. It is being reported that Busy Philipps has been tapped for a guest spot in the show’s second season premiere.

Apartment 23 co-stars Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek, who plays himself in the show. According to TV Guide, the show’s second season will start off with a storyline feature Van Der Beek trying to reconnect with his other Dawson’s co-stars.

Philipps will be the first to appear on Apartment 23 and will also play herself, notes Vulture.

“We have a big season premiere episode that's dealing with James potentially trying to do a Dawson's reunion and his version of what that would look like,” Apartment 23 creator Nahnatchka Khan told TV Guide.

Khan also told TV Guide that she’d love to see if the show can draw other former Dawson’s Creek stars like Michelle Williams, Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes.

Williams, who is now a two-time Oscar-nominee, told Vulture back in April that she would definitely be ready to join Apartment 23 if only Van Der Beek would give her a call.

“He could totally ask! I've always said, I'm totally up for reunion tours, reunion shows, so we can do that,” Williams said at the time.

Apartment 23 premieres on ABC on Oct. 23 at 9:30pm.
