Forbes magazine is out with another list of highest-paid celebrities. This time, it looks at the highest-paid celebrity couples, which finds music power couple Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z at the top.
Even though Beyonce has had a much quieter year in the music business, she still managed to make $40 million between May 1, 2011 and May 1, 2012. Her past hits continue to make money, including her 2011 album 4, reports MTV News. Jay-Z is reaping the benefits of his collaboration with Kanye West, Watch The Throne, and his business ventures like the cosmetics company Carol’s Daughter and the ad firm Translation. He made $38 million last year, bringing the couple’s combined revenue from the past year to $78 million.
Although Tom Brady’s New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl, his past success and modeling gigs mean that he is still made $27 million, reports Forbes. His wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, is still one of the top-paid models in the world, making $45 million last year. The two, who topped the list last year, made a combined $72 million.
Soccer star David Beckham and his wife, designer Victoria Beckham, came in at No. 3 with $54 million. David is still the world’s highest-paid soccer star, while Victora continues to have success with her clothing lines.
Actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are planning a wedding, made $45 million this past year, which was good enough for No. 4.
Will and Jada Pinkett Smith came in at No. 5 with $40 million, thanks to successes like Men in Black 3 and Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted.
