Justin Bieber has shown interest in dabbling in the acting world, and now the “Never Say Never” singer is doing just that.
Bieber, 18, will play himself in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, which will air during the 24 season of the show next year.
According to The New York Daily News, Bieber might have leaked the news before he was authorized to do on Monday, as he tweeted “Just did a voiceover for the SIMPSONS! #swaggy.” He later deleted it.
But executive producer Al Jean confirmed Bieber’s appearance on the show to Entertainment Weekly.
“It’s a cameo,” Jean told EW. “But all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he’s on,” he joked.
“He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won’t admit him,” Jean explains of Bieber’s role in the episode. He adds, “Draw your own conclusions.”
Bieber’s episode is called “The Fabulous Faker Boy” and the new season will debut on September 30.
