Karen Zolciak sues Kim Zolciak over visitation rights

By Chelsea Hirsch,

Kim Zolciak’s mother Karen has filed a lawsuit against the The Real Housewives of Atlanta star over visiting Kim’s children.

TMZ reports that Karen filed a Petition for Visitation in Georgia’s Superior Court, demanding the right to see her four grandchildren. Atlanta-based blogger Tamara Tattles reports that Karen filed the lawsuit on August 28.

Karen claims that she used to spend more time with her two granddaughters, but hasn’t even met her two-week-old grandson, Kash.

She also claims that “Bravo TV needed drama for Kim's show Don't Be Tardy For the Wedding -- so they "portrayed her as a bad person" to strain the mother-daughter relationship. Bravo’s plan worked so well that Karen was thrown out of her daughter’s wedding for using a bathroom in the house rather than the porta-potty provided.

Finally, she claims that not seeing her grandchildren will cause “emotional or physical harm” to them because “the girls live such a crazy, abnormal life being on T.V…they need a normal haven to relax.”

After contacting a legal adviser, Tamara Tattles believes that the case may be thrown out due to the fact that there is no divorce or death of a parent involved, which is needed in a courtroom in Georgia.

Kim’s daughters, Brielle and Ariana, do not have their legal father listed in the lawsuit. Before Kim became a reality star, she lived with her mother and her daughters – which may help Karen’s case.

There is also no previous history of Karen supporting her grandchildren.

A judge has yet to rule on the petition, and Kim has not spoken out yet.
