Does Kelsey Grammer have a case of the newlyweds even after a year of marriage?

While sitting on stage talking to the Television Critics Association for his Starz series, Boss, the actor picked up a personal call mid-discussion, Us Weekly reports.

Who could possibly be that important that the former Frazier actor would want to answer? His lovely new wife, Kayte Grammer; the couple was married in February 2011.

According to the report, the couple chatted for about 90 seconds, to which the funnyman then addressed the crowd, saying, “Some things are more important than other, and the well-being of my wife sits atop the charts."

After the conference, Star Pulse caught up with Grammer, who gushed about being a family man after having his first daughter with Kayte, Faith Evangeline Elise Grammer, on July 13.

This is very hard to say…It’s the first time I was in a place with someone in my life that having a child was the best thing both of us could do. So that’s new for me and it’s fantastic. I love being a dad.”

Continuing, he explains, “Parenting in real life is actually a wonderful trip. You’re bound to fail but I guess that’s why we keep going. That failure actually just becomes an opportunity for them to thrive. I think kids are fantastic and they do shape themselves very much and hopefully you lay a couple of good things into their head and they can actually find a way to navigate the universe based upon hopefully one or two times you told them something good.”
