Kris Humphries attempted a sneak attack on soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Kardashian. On Wednesday, Humphries served a subpoena in a Nordstrom’s box in a ploy to serve her boyfriend, rapper Kanye West a deposition request.
NY Daily News explains that a person showed up to Kardashian’s place and began ringing the doorbell. After loitering for a few minutes, the person left a Nordstrom’s box which contained the documents inside.
Humphries' attorney, Marshall Waller, explained to the California judge presiding over the case, “Our process server rang the doorbell and amazingly she answered. . .He asked if (West) was present, and she said he was on the telephone. If Mr. West's attorney ever calls us back, we'll be happy to have a talk. But as a practical matter, that hasn't happened. We're jumping through hoops. We'll probably have to serve him in public."
Humphries alleges that his marriage to Kardashian was fraudulent. TMZ reports that Kardashian’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, told the judge that Humphries team wants to put the reality program, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, on trial to prove his statements of a fraud marriage.
Wasser insists she doesn’t understand as he knew what he was getting into when he proposed to the reality diva. Wasser questioned why it is important for Humphries to have an annulment rather than a divorce; his lawyer could not answer that question.
According to reports, Wasser insists her client “just wants a divorce” and that Humphries should be responsible for her attorney fees, which roughly total $250,000.
