Kristin Chenoweth, 44, has had a recurring role on the CBS series The Good Wife. However, following an injury on the set of the show last month, Chenoweth will be leaving her role.
"It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife at this time," Chenoweth told People in a statement Monday. "[I'm] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern." Chenoweth is scheduled to appear on the season 4 premiere, September 30.
Chenoweth was hit by a piece of lighting equipment falling, while filming in July. She stayed in the hospital overnight due to her injuries. CBS had no comment about the accident.
Chenoweth has been keeping fans updated on her health via Twitter.
August 8, the actress tweeted, “Today not best “pain” day. Remaining positive. (I think).”
Chenoweth is known for her role in Pushing Daisies, as well as Glee. The star is both a Tony award winner and an Emmy award winner.
