As someone who preaches individuality and embracing your inner and outer self, Lady Gaga’s spread in the September 2012 issue of Vogue may surprise some. After Vogue released a behind-the-scenes video of the singer’s shoot, it became clear that Gaga was photo shopped before the magazine hit newsstands.
According to US Weekly, the “Born This Way” singer was made into a cover girl with a little help from technology. The magazine reportedly used airbrushing to slim down Gaga’s figure, tame her wild mane and to erase blemishes.
The New York Post also takes a jab at Lady Gaga’s cover image. They posed the question of whether or not Vogue airbrushed too much.
Despite the backlash, the 26-year-old was unfazed by the photo editing and was happy with the end result. She even gave her Little Monsters a sneak peak of the anticipated cover earlier this month.
“IM A COVER GIRL, and ITS FAB!” the pop star tweeted.
Are you with Lady Gaga on this one or do you think the airbrushing is too extreme?
