LL Cool J shows of his heroics every week in CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles and obviously he put what he learns on the set of the show to good use Wednesday morning. The rapper/actor stopped a suspect from burglarizing his home.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the burglar entered LL’s Los Angeles area home at 2am. Unfortunately for him, the S.W.A.T. star was home at the time.
The suspect tripped the alarm system, but LL showed off his hand-to-hand combat skills and detained the suspect until LAPD finally arrived minutes later.
Police officials confirmed to CBS Los Angeles that the incident did happen at the home, which is owned by the rapper, whose real name is James Todd Smith, and his wife, Simone.
LL was not hurt during the incident, but the suspect had some bruises. The suspect is being booked for robbery. The police did not release the name of the suspect or any other information.
LL Cool J hosted the Grammys earlier this year and is a star on CBS’ NCIS: LA with Chris O’Donnell. The NCIS spin-off will be kicking off its fourth season in September.
Clearly, all the action training the “Mama Said Knock You Out” rapper has learned from NCIS, S.W.A.T. and other projects has paid off.
