In what’s being called a “swatting” prank, Miley Cyrus’ home was swarmed by cops on Wednesday night.
Law enforcement sources at the LAPD confirm that they answered a 911 call around 6:50pm to go to the former Hannah Montana star’ house in L.A. for a home invasion, but nothing appeared to be wrong when they arrived on the scene.
TMZ reports that police concluded it was just a false alarm and that it fits into the description of “Swatting,” in which people call 911 to try and get call law enforcement such as the cops or the SWAT team to go a to a location.
North Hollywood police told Good Morning America "We responded to a call of a kidnapping in progress, one person shot, at an address on Amanda Drive.”
ABC News reports that officers had their guns drawn surrounding the perimeter of her property until they realized that no foul play was going on in the home.
