Robert Pattinson just couldn’t escape the Kristen Stewart questions during an interview with New York Times’ David Carr.
But in this particular interview, Carr compared Pattinson and Stewart’s troubles to that of the royal family.
According to The Huffington Post, Carr compared Stewart’s cheating on Pattinson to the trouble between Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.
When Carr asked Pattinson about the obsession with fame here in the United States, Pattinson said “I think it's because America really wants to have a royal family." He also said that A-listers in Americas are similar to the royals, but they’re only “meritocratic.”
Carr then took that opportunity to say to the Cosmopolis star "So if you and Kristen have trouble it's like Charles and Di having trouble?” and he prompted boos from the crowd at the mere mention of the Snow White and the Huntsman actress’ name.
He then added, “I wasn’t really going there, just so you know,” and Pattinson responded “No, I wouldn't really go that far.”
Pattinson’s other interviews haven’t been too hard on him in terms of the Stewart questions.
He did recently say on Good Morning America, “I've never been interested in selling my personal life.”
