After four years, Alanis Morissette released her new album this week, Havoc and Bright Lights. It is full of her usual poetic and meaningful lyrics.

Hip hop super group Slaughterhouse released Welcome to Our House. It was executive produced by Emimem and he is featured in songs “Our House” and “Throw That.” It is the collaboration of Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, and Royce da 59 but also features, Swizz Beatz, Skylar Grey, Busta Rhymes, and even Cee Lo Green. This results in some great beats but even better lyrics.

In another collaborate effort, alternative rock group Divine Fits released A Thing Called Divine Fits. It includes Britt Daniel of Spoon, Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade and Sam Brown of New Bomb Turks.
Grammy nominated R&B artist Tamia released Beautiful Surprise. Some standout tracks are "Beautiful Surprise" and "Give Me You," which places love over material things.
