Bobby Brown's wife Alicia Etheredge's seizure brought on by diabetes

Bobby Brown’s wife, Alicia Etheredge, caused her new husband quite a scare when she had a seizure in their Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando while the New Edition singer prepared for a concert later that evening.

Etheredge suffered a seizure over the weekend and was immediately taken to the hospital. The rapper later confirmed that his wife was ill via Twitter asking his fans to keep his family in their prayers.
At the time, fans were uncertain what brought on the seizure.

Now, People reports that that seizure was brought on by diabetes, a disease she was diagnosed with in 2009 while pregnant with her and Brown’s now three-year-old son, Cassius.

Brown later returned to the stage to perform as planned, but the rapper has not updated fans on how his wife is doing.

The couple was married in Hawaii on Father’s Day weekend among close friends and family. Brown was previously married to the late Whitney Houston, who died in February. Brown’s oldest daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was not in attendance for her father’s second marriage.
