Casting news for ‘Arrested Development’

By Meaghan Fleming,

Isla Fisher and Terry Crews are joining the cast of Arrested Development for season 4.

It is unknown who Fisher (Wedding Crashers) and Crews (Expendables 2) will be playing, but both have begun shooting according to Zap2it. They join John Slattery (Mad Men) and Workaholics’s Adam DeVine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson, as guest stars this season.

Various actors who play fan favorite characters are returning to the show too including Liza Minnelli, Henry Winkler, Judy Greer, and Scott Baio.

Executive producer (and narrator) Ron Howard is very excited about season 4 of Arrested Development, telling the Huffington Post “I think it's great and that the writing is great. It's very bold. I'm very proud of Mitch [Mitchell Hurwitz].”

Howard goes on to say “The cast is so excited about it. And it's cool and fun to get back in that groove, it's also pushing the boundaries from a story standpoint, character standpoint, and a comedic standpoint in a way that really inspires them. So it doesn't feel like some opportunistic reunion, it feels like the next iteration of it all.”

Season 4 of Arrested Development is slated to air in the spring 2013 on Netflix.
