American Idol alum Clay Aiken stirred a bit of controversy on Twitter with fellow Celebrity Apprentice player and country singer, John Rich.
According to Huffington Post the war of words on the social media site began when Aiken tweeted, “Playing drinking game with my brother now. We drink every time we see a black person on screen at the RNC convention. #soberasamormon.”

Huff Post reports that Rich, an avid Republican, took offense to the tweet and fired off his own comments including: “"@clayaiken:@cowboytroy We drink every time we see a black person at the RNC//CLAY! You should be ashamed for racist comments like THAT!WOW,” “I wonder how long it will be till @clayaiken takes that idiotic post down. Clay, you're better than that...I hope. Sincerely, JR.,” followed by, “And to finish it off, @clayaiken hashtags soberasamormon? I thought your charity was for inclusion, not EXCLUSION. What happened?”
He ended by writing, “Between the hashtag "negrospotting" and what I've read ever since, I've just had enough of this racist nonsense. It's sick. PLS STOP.”
Rich then proceeded to retweet the tweet that upset him.
Aiken finally responded after Rich went on his rant defending his charity writing, “My charity is. Why isn't your party? ;-) @johnrich: @clayaiken I thought your charity was for inclusion, not EXCLUSION. What happened?”
