Dina Lohan regrets allowing daughter, Lindsay, to become child star

Dina Lohan hasn’t had the easiest time raising daughter and troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. In fact, the starlet’s mom admitted Thursday that she may even regret getting into show biz in the first place.

According to the New York Daily News, Dina no longer has control over the paths Lindsay chooses to take, telling reporter Joanna Molloy, “I’m certainly not making excuses for Lindsay’s behavior. But she’s a 26-year-old woman.”

It’s not news that Dina made an effort to push Lindsay into the world of entertainment at a young age. Before Lilo reached age 11, the child star had already appeared in 60 commercials and landed the lead role in Disney’s The Parent Trap, proving to be her big break in the industry. But Dina admitted to The News that she may regret the decision to lead Lindsay down the rode to stardom.

“I was born into the business. My mother was an entertainer,” Dina said. “It was natural. But yes, in the next life, I might not do it.”

On a recent televised interview with Dr. Phil, Dina raised eyebrows – and lots of questions – when she appeared to be acting incoherent and bizarre. E! News reports that the Hollywood mom’s antics even left the probing, outspoken celebrity doctor at a loss for words.

At one point in the interview, Dr. Phil accused Dina of being “phony” and “flittin around.”
