Ellen DeGeneres has joined forces with NBC and Lauren Pomerantz to bring a new, single camera sitcom to the small screen.
NBC has placed a script order to a still untitled comedy that will be written and executive produced by The Ellen DeGeneres Show producer and writer, Pomerantz.
DeGeneres will be involved as another executive producer and the show will be produced under her A Very Good Production banner.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the comedy will focus on a single 32-year-old woman who has just purchased a home and is having a hard time with listing "single woman" on the paperwork.
Pomerantz has also worked with shows such as Community and Saturday Night Live.
Webpronews that this is just the latest project that will be getting off the ground under DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production company. There’s another project in the works with Fox and her wife, Arrested Development star Portia de Rossi.
