Emma Watson named most dangerous celebrity on the Internet

The Perks of Being A Wallflower actress Emma Watson has been named the most dangerous celebrity on the Internet, thanks to her frequent use as bait by online criminals.

In its annual list of dangerous celebrities, Internet security company McAfee said that Watson, who is best known for her role as Hermione in the Harry Potter films, is now more dangerous than model Heidi Klum, who topped the list last year. According to AceShowBiz, McAfee said that every time you search for an image or download with Watson’s name, you have a 12.6 percent chance of “landing on a website that has tested positive for online threats, such as spyware, adware, spam, phishing, viruses and other malware.”

The Huffington Post UK reports that the list is dominated by women and celebrities who can be attached to the phrase “nude pictures.” Just one man was in the Top 20, late night host and comic Jimmy Kimmel.

Interestingly, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who dominated the headlines this summer, were not on the list.

Overall, this year’s list is entirely different. Klum, Piers Morgan, Brad Pitt, Adriana Lima, Mila Kunis, Katherine Heigl, Anna Paquin, Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone and Rachel McAdams all failed to make the Top 10.
