Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong went on a tirade in during the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas over the weekend after the bands set was cut short from 45 minutes to 25.
NY Daily News reports that Armstrong was given a one minute warning via teleprompter to wrap up his set to give singer Usher more time on stage. Originally, Green Day was set to have a much longer set, but instead was cut by 20 minutes.
Instead of going off on Usher, who was given more time, Armstrong went on a tirade about Justin Bieber and even smashed his own guitar. “I’m not f------ Justin Bieber, you motherf------!” Armstrong yelled to the crowd.
According to Fuse.TV, the punk-rocker adds, “I'm going to play a f--king new song. F--k this sh-t. Gimme a f--king break. One minute left. One minute f--king left. You're going to give me one minute. I’ve been around since f--king 198f--king8.”
He concluded, saying to the crowd, “God f--king love you all. We'll be back."
Armstrong did not appear upset once backstage, however, as reports claim that the singer was seen laughing and joking around once back stage.
