Hollywood has lost another iconic actor as Michael Clarke Duncan, famous for his role in The Green Mile, died Monday morning.
According to CNN , a representative for his family released a statement saying that the 54-year-old "suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered.”
Duncan’s fiancé, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth (Celebrity Apprentice), came to his aide and provided life-saving CPR until paramedics arrived. At the time, Duncan was expected to make a full recovery.
A representative for Manigault-Stallworth has since released a statement saying, “Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time."
Duncan died in a Los Angeles hospital, TMZ reports. His passing occurred quite suddenly the reports state. Omarosa left the room for a few moments, and when she returned he had died. Omarosa’s mother was with the actor when he died.
The 6-foot-5-inch, 300-pound actor was also noted for his roles in Armageddon, Talladega Nights as well as A Night at the Roxbury, E! News reports.
