'SNL' veteran stays with show for its 38th season

Saturday Night Live begins its 38th season this weekend and with it, Jason Sudeikis is still on the show. Earlier Wednesday, NBC confirmed that Sudeikis would be returning for his 7th season with the show.

According to Boston.com, the Horrible Bosses star has agreed to stay on the show, despite fellow famed co-stars Kristin Wiig and Andy Samberg announcing their departures from the show. While the details of his contract have not been released, it is estimated that Sudeikis will stay on until at least January.

One major reason for keeping Sudeikis - his Mitt Romney impression. According to theThe New York Times, Sudeikis was gaining praise for his Romney impression towards the end of spring.

With Romney sure to make more headlines as the Presidential election heats up, it seems this was a smart investment by NBC and their producers, especially since two of the heavyweight hitters of the show have left.
