Reality TV star Deena Cortese has been banned from the Spicy Cantina & Mexican Grille for two years after she walked around on the bar, fell on the ground, and stood on someone’s table while they were eating.
Although the reality show Jersey Shore has finished filming, The New York Daily News reports that the show's cast is still stirring up controversy.
Deena Cortese, who was not an original cast member of the show, wreaked havoc in the 90 minutes she spent at the Mexican restaurant. Cortese stood on the bar, fell to the ground, and then stood on a red bench while other guests were dining.
The New York Post reports that the restaurant is facing a $15,000 fine for serving a “visibly intoxicated” Cortese. As part of the agreement that the Spicy Cantina & Mexican Grille made with New Jersey’s Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control for the incident on June 10, the 25-year-old reality TV star is banned for two years from their establishment.
Cortese was arrested after making her way into the street and dancing around. She pleaded guilty to the charges of interfering with traffic and was forced to pay a $106 fine.
If any similar incident occurs at the restaurant, and employees violate state alcohol laws over the next two years, the business will face a 10 day suspension of its liquor license.
