Jillian Michaels will return for the 14th season of 'The Biggest Loser'

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

One of the best coaches to ever step foot on ABC’s The Biggest Loser is returning to the ranch and rejoining as a coach on television’s biggest weight loss competition.

E! announced the big news Tuesday that Jillian Michaels will be returning for the show’s 14th season after taking nearly two years off from the program. She will rejoin alum coach Bob Harper as well as Dolvett Quince.

E! also notes that the program will feature teens from ages 13-17, in addition to the adult competitors. The teens, however, will not face elimination. In a press release, Michaels states, “As a former overweight teen, I know firsthand how dramatically weight issues can affect every aspect of a child's life. Having recently become a mother of two, I am more passionate than ever about helping empower children and families with the information and resources they need to live a healthier life."

During her sabbatical, Michaels and partner Heidi Rhodes welcomed two children: 2-year-old Lukensia, adopted from Haiti, and son Phoenix who was born May 3.

The Biggest Loser will begin its next season in January.
