J.K. Rowling will release her first post-Harry Potter novel entitled The Casual Vacancy. The novel, which is geared toward adults- opposite of her famously created wizard world, hits the shelves on Thursday.
In a recent interview with BBC, the iconic writer didn’t deny a potential addition to the Harry Potter world saying, “If I had a fabulous idea that came out of that world, because I loved writing it, I would do it."
She does, however, add, "I don't want to go mechanically back into that world and pick up a load of odds and ends and glue them together and say, 'Here we go, we can sell this.' It would make a mockery of what those books were to me."
Despite the rave of the Harry Potter series, Rowling is focusing on her newest The Casual Vacancy.
The adult based novel focuses on a war consumed Pagford, England and the death of Barry Fairbrother, whose death leaves an empty seat on the parish council which brings more trouble to the town.
