JK Rowling, the author responsible for bringing Harry Potter and the gang to life, is reportedly selling her Edinburgh home, with offers already reaching as high as 2.25m British pounds – the equivalent of an estimated $3.65 million US dollars.

BBC News reports that Rowling moved from the home, situated in Merchiston, in 2009 to settle down in a new home located in Barnton. The author lived in the Merchiston home with her husband, Dr. Neil Murray, and their three children.

The stone-façade home has everything an author of Rowling’s status could ever need – an office building, walled garden, summerhouse, and various outhouses throughout the property. A British property magazine even boasts the exquisite home’s prime location, writing that the location is “one of Edinburgh’s most exclusive conservation areas.”

According to the Scotsman, Rowling’s fortune reaches an estimated 560m British pounds. That’s approximately $909 million US dollars!

Rowling seems to have an affinity for purchasing places to live, because the author also owns other properties, including a lavish estate in Pertshire and a quaint London townhouse.
